English Instructors for Corporate Clients – Malmö Region

Berlitz Corporate Language Services is looking for freelance English Language Instructors to teach general and professional English to our corporate and private clients in Malmö and the surrounding area.

Most lessons take place in Malmö, either at our clients’ premises or at Berlitz’s premises on S:t Johannesgatan in central Malmö. However, teaching assignments may also be available in nearby locations, such as Lund.

Main responsibilities:

• Teach using the techniques of the Berlitz Method and follow the Berlitz teaching principles;
• Deliver high quality, learner-centered instruction;
• Motivate by being creative and dynamic,
• Help customers achieve their language goals;
• Create a positive and friendly classroom atmosphere;
• Ensure a high level of student course satisfaction;
• Support Quality Management at all levels of instruction.

Qualifications and experience:

• Native or native-level English proficiency. For candidates with native-level proficiency, substantial experience living and working in an English-speaking country is highly desirable.
• Currently based in or near Malmö.
• A bachelor’s degree. Students currently studying at university are also welcome to apply;
• Strong intercultural and pedagogical skills;
• Teaching experience is desirable but not a prerequisite.

Berlitz offers:

• The position is offered based on teaching demand and is subject to the successful completion of our mandatory instructor training, which is conducted remotely. The training consists of approximately 30 hours and takes place over a period of around three weeks. It begins with self-study through online modules, followed by instructor-led virtual sessions conducted in English. After completing the virtual training, you will also have approximately four hours of additional training and onboarding with a Manager of Instruction in Malmö.
• The initial training is unpaid. However, we see it as an investment in our future instructors and therefore cover the cost of the training ourselves. Once you have successfully completed the training and started working with us, all further professional development, including workshops and other training sessions, is paid.
